Xiaomi starts rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Redmi Note 4 users in India

Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to Redmi Note 4 users. The Android 7.0 Nougat update comes with MIUI version 8.5.4.0, and includes the July Android security patch.

The Redmi Note 4 is also scheduled to get the next major MIUI update – MIUI 9 – starting today, for users in China. International users can download the MIUI 9 beta ROM here, if you're so inclined.

Earlier today, Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Note 4 was the best-selling phone in India, and the company has sold over 5 million devices of the same.

The MIUI 8.5.4.0 update is 1.3 GB in size, so make sure you're on Wi-Fi or a liberal data plan. The OTA update is rolling out in phases, and not everyone has received it yet. Has your Redmi Note 4 received the update yet? Tell us in the comments!
