Florence brings a tale of life and love to Android later this month (Update: Out now)

Update (15/03): Florence is now available at the Google Play Store and comes in at the same price as its iOS counterpart ($2.99) as expected. You can download it from Google Play at the link at the bottom of the page, but a word of caution – this one might make you feel some feelings. If you check it out, don't forget to give us your thoughts on it in the comments.

Love is in the air on the Google Play Store, as the critically acclaimed Florence is finally on its way to Android on March 14th – exactly one month after its debut on iOS.

Florence is a visual novel-like title that follows the romantic ups and downs of its title character, Florence Yeoh, that won (and broke) the hearts of players and critics alike following its release on iPhone and iPad on Valentine's Day.

Editor's Pick

It is the first game from Monument Valley designer Ken Wong's new studio, Mountains, and yet another beloved indie title brought to mobile by Annapurna Interactive.

The Californian publisher – best known for supporting the release of the magical What Remains of Edith Finch for PC and consoles – brought thatgamecompany's Flower and the stunning puzzler, Gorogoa, to iOS devices last year.

In fact, while we're on the subject, can we please have Android versions of those two as well please, Annapurna Interactive?

As you can see from the trailer (above), Florence's webcomic-style visuals look absolutely gorgeous. The trailer also shows just a few of the minigames that add a layer of interactivity to the game's short, but poignant story.

No pricing details have been confirmed at time of writing, although it seems likely it will carry the same one-off $2.99 price-tag as the iOS version.
