Asus and Flipkart announced their new partnership on stage – an exclusive long-term partnership to sell Asus phones in India. This will start on April 23 (next Monday) with the unveiling of the Zenfone Max Pro M1.
Details are still scarce but the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 636 chipset, a slightly less powerful version of the Snapdragon 660 (it still features an octa-core Kryo processor).
Going forward, Asus will collaborate with Flipkart to design phones for the Indian market based on consumer insights.
Flipkart also unveiled a plan called “mobiles 40 by 20” or put in other words to account for 40% of smartphone sales in India by 2020. That would be about 100 million new buyers.
