For your money, you're getting a beefy portable speaker with 360-degree sound, a rugged protective design, and an IP67 rating. The latter means you can submerge the UE Blast in up to a 1 meter of water for as long as 30 minutes.

The Blast's big advantage over UE's regular Boom speakers is Wi-Fi support, which enables Amazon's digital assistant. Much like the Echo range, you'll be able to ask Alexa questions, set reminders, control smart home tech, shop, and much more.

You'll also be able to control music playback with just your voice through Amazon Music, Pandora, iHeart Radio, and TuneIn. Unfortunately there's no support for Spotify just yet, although you can always use Bluetooth to play tracks from Spotify, or any other streaming service such as Google Play Music or Apple Music.
