Published on Tuesday, a regulatory filing in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database details a slew of previously unreleased iPhone models. Russia requires that companies register all products containing encryption and/or cryptographic tools with the EEC.
The EEC has been a reliable indicator of past Apple launches including AirPods, MacBooks and more recently, the 2018 iPad.

Apart from the model numbers and the fact that they're running iOS 11, the filings don't give away any additional information.
However, given the early timing, it's highly unlikely that these are the flagship replacements for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X which are expected to be announced in their usual September timeframe.
What is more likely, is that these filings reference a refreshed iPhone SE, Apples most cost-effective iPhone packing a 4" display.
What can we expect?
Our take would be that Apple will adopt the same approach it took with the recently launched 9.7" 2018 iPad.
Given that, expect the iPhone SE 2 to keep the same design, screen, and Touch ID but pack Apple's A10 Fusion SoC, the same used in the iPhone 7, being supported with 2GB RAM with 32GB and 128GB storage capacity options.
That upgrade in itself though seems a little underwhelming and even Apple's marketing dept couldn't spin that. Apple could surprise us by upgrading the iPhone SE's primary camera with a ƒ/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, and Quad-LED True Tone flash.
The selfie generation would also welcome a FaceTime HD camera upgrade to the 7MP ƒ/2.2 aperture 1080p recording sensor from the iPhone 7. While the Apple A10 Fusion's oomph will also allow the iPhone SE 2 to support the HEIF & HEVC formats.
There's an outside chance that Apple could also further reduce the price, but that's only likely if they don't upgrade the camera systems.
We could see the iPhone SE 2 make an appearance at Apples World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) held on June 4. Alternatively, we wouldn't be surprised if it 'popped' up in the Apple Store overnight.
