The Xiaomi Mi A2 has a solid fan base that voted 2-to-1 in its favor. Not bad results for the second-generation Android One phone from Xiaomi, which will be available in MIUI flavor in China under the name Mi 6X.
In fact, it’s mostly available in China right now, Xiaomi’s expanding European stores have no A2 units to offer. Not yet, anyway. Which is a shame since this Android One mid-ranger offers plenty of bang for your buck.
Predictably, many were unhappy about Xiaomi dropping the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Other criticisms included knocking the Snapdragon 660 chipset, though realistically at €250 or so this is as good as it gets. The battery was brought up as well and to be fair Xiaomi has done better than 3,010
So the Xiaomi Mi A2 isn’t perfect. But again, we think its biggest flaw is that Xiaomi’s Euro stores don’t have units yet. Same for the Indian store – Xiaomi better hurry as the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is coming with pure Android 8.1 and a 5,000 mAh battery.
