Pebble fans might have thought the end was near. Owners of the many Pebble smartwatches were informed by Fitbit, which bought the company's assets in 2016, that software and services support for those products would finally end on June 30, 2018. However, there is some new hope for those remaining Pebble users, thanks to a third party group called, in a nice bit of branding, Rebble.

While Rebble won't have its promised services available to Pebble owners on July 1, it's still better than nothing. When Rebble does go live, it plans to offer basic data services for free to Pebble owners, but may ask for a fee to access more complex services.
