What is Microwave Oven ?

Microwave oven is a heating device which uses microwaves to cook the food. 

How does a microwave oven work ?

 Microwave oven passes microwaves through the food. These microwaves react with the water molecules which present in the food.When these radiations passing through the food, the water molecules get vibrating at the atomic level and due to this vibrating, it generate heat energy.

All the water molecules in the food get vibrating and produce heat energy at the same time. Due to this heat energy, The food is cooked.

What is microwave radiation ?

 Normally microwaves are the form of the electromagnetic radio waves radiation, Microwave Oven uses 2,450 MHz frequency.

 There is a some amount of radiation leaking from the microwave oven is called as microwave oven radiation Leakage. In may be mainly leak from microwave oven's door. The most common causes of this leakage are old and faulty door seals of microwave oven

How to Check Microwave Oven Radiation Leakage ?

 A microwave oven may leak microwaves for many reasons.

Here, I give a simplest test to check your microwave oven is leaking or not.

Microwave Oven Radiation Leakage Test

• Switch Your microwave oven and unplug from supply

Using another phone, call to the mobile which is placed inside the oven

If your phone is not ringing, your microwave oven is safe

Otherwise, your microwave oven is leaking

How does Microwave oven radiation leakage test work ?

 The door of microwave oven is designed to not allow 2,450 MHz frequency through it. Most of our phones are using 2,400 MHz frequency. 

When you place your phone inside the oven. Your phone cannot receive signal through the door. your phone will not ring while you dial using other phone to it.

If your phone is ringing, We may assume there is a leakage in the door because your phone receiving signal through the door. This means the door allowing to pass 2,450 MHz frequency through it.

Harmful Effects of Microwaves :

  If the door of your microwave oven is working correctly, you don't want worry about the problems given below 

• The hormone production of your body may be altered or halted
• Cancer may occur due to heavy radiation from microwave oven
• It may weak our immunity system due to radiation

Other Effects ?

• Eating foods which is cooked by microwave oven won't make any problems
• Cooking food in microwave ovens will not change or reduce any nutrients in your food.
• Your food will not contain radiation after taking from inside the oven

 Cooking using microwave oven is not bad. But we should keep check the health of microwave oven and it's door. If the door is working correctly, You won't face any problems
