Razer's CEO confirmed that the company is working on a successor to the original Razer Phone and initial rumors pointed to a September launch, but those were quickly dismissed by his latest statement, which suggested a December launch. Later on we got the first pieces of information about the phone itself coming from yesterday's Geekbench score sheet.
Following that some guys took the time to go through the AnTuTu database and found the Razer Phone 2 in there as well. The listing confirms the Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM and the Android 8.1 Oreo OS, but also gives us a few more details to work with.
According to the benchmark listing, the device will come with 512GB storage, which would make it one of the few handsets to offer this much storage. It also says that the screen uses a 1440 x 2560 pixel QHD panel with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. It probably makes sense for gaming purposes to stick to the standard 16:9 ratio.
The source also mentions a 120Hz display supporting Qualcomm's Q-Sync technology and using Sharp's high-quality IGZO IPS panels. Either the author has some inside information, or he's just making stuff up because the AnTuTu sheet doesn't say anything specific about the display. But it will feature high-refresh rate panel, that's for sure.
