Sony has confirmed that the Xperia XZ3 is its first 5G smartphone and possibly the first 5G ready phone to come to market.
5G networks are still not in use but once up and running will provide up to 2Gbps of speed. Qualcom's current X20 modem inside the Snapdragon 845 doesn't offer 5G speed, but the upcoming X50 modem (along with the X24 modem) will enable 5G support for phones coming in 2019.

The Xperia XZ3 is not the only phone to come out in 2018 to have 5G support. Xiaomi's Mi Mix 3 will support 5G and we know Lenovo and Oppo have 5G support planned for next year as well.
It's logical to assume that the Samsung Galaxy S10 family will also bring support for 5G and we know Huawei is planning the same step for 2019.
