- The Honor 8 Oreo update came to China earlier this year.
- Now, it looks like the Honor 8 Oreo update is coming to India, Germany, France, and maybe more locations.
- Twitter users are posting about receiving the long-awaited update to the two-year-old phone.
In January of this year, Honor announced that there would be no Honor 8 Oreo update. This upset owners of the handset, as the Honor 8 Pro was scheduled to receive Android 8.0 Oreo.
Then, in February, Honor relented and announced that Android 8.0 Oreo would, in fact, come to the Honor 8 (as well as the Honor 7X) in Q2 2018.
Now, finally, it looks like the update is starting to trickle out globally. A Twitter user in India tweeted at the Android Authority profile to let us know that it was happening:

According to the attached screenshot, the update weighs 2.33GB and is Android 8.0 Oreo skinned over with Huawei's EMUI 8.0.
Additionally, we also have some tweets from users in France and Germany saying they also received the same update via the HiSuite. This is good news and likely means more updates are on the way for other locations.
If you're an Honor 8 owner, let us know in the comments if you received Android 8.0 Oreo!
