The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is getting the Pixel treatment – a detailed video hands-on has been published before Xiaomi has officially unveiled the phone. The auto-generated English subtitles are not great, but one AnTuTu screen is worth a thousand words.
The chipset is a Snapdragon 636, not 660 as earlier rumors suggested, and it runs MIUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It’s not the faster chipset, but it’s more of an endurance runner thanks to the 4,000mAh battery as seen on the box.
The 6.26” screen has a 1,080 x 2,280px resolution and a notch. Xiaomi has prepared cute wallpapers that help hide the notch.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro has two dual cameras – 20+2MP on the front and 12+2MP on the back. Naturally, there’s an AI-powered mode in the camera app.
Xiaomi is yet to send out invites for the phone’s announcement, but it shouldn’t be long now.
