Oppo R17 appeared with a tiny notch and an under-display fingerprint scanner back in August and appeared in stores in early September.
The phone was initially available for purchase in China, but now it's preparing to go global. Or so we assume, going by today's video on the official YouTube channel that highlights some of the key features of the R17, including Google services.
The funky
30-second video looks like a TV ad since it focuses on the most prominent features like the gradient design, the tiny notch on the massive display and the fingerprint scanner beneath the OLED panel.
The selfie camera Oppo is so proud of is not new - we’ve already seen it in various phones, including the F7, the F9, and the Find X.
In China the Oppo R17 costs CNY3,199 ($468) with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, while the 8/128 GB option is currently CNY3,499 ($527). We are yet to see how those change as the phone hits other markets.
