Two weeks ago HMD Global started sending out invites for a launch on October 4 in London. The invitation clearly stated a new addition to the Nokia smartphone family will be introduced, and we think it will be the Nokia 7.1 Plus that already arrived on TENAA.
The TA-1131 model number is for one of the variants of the phone, but another version nicknamed TA-1113, along with TA-1115, were just approved by the US Federal Communication Commission, paving the way for a global launch.
The FCC listing revealed the new phone will arrive with 5V/2A charger and basic headphones, but it also stated the battery capacity would be 3,400 mAh. This is exactly the same power cell as the TENAA version, leaning us to the conclusion we are talking about the same phone.

Spy shot of the Nokia 7.1 Plus
Specs from the Chinese regulatory revealed a 2.2 GHz CPU, probably powering a Snapdragon 710 chipset. The camera setup seems to be similar to the Nokia 7 plus combo - 12 MP + 13 MP, while the front will have a 20 MP selfie camera. The images did not reveal an Android One tag on the back panel, but this is expected since Google is yet to warm its relationship with the Chinese government.
At all other markets, though, the Nokia 7.1 Plus is expected to arrive with the platform that provides timely OS updates and security patches.
