We know Samsung will aim to add more premium features to its midrange devices to outdo aggressively priced competition from Chinese manufacturers and it looks like wireless charging may be one of those features.
According to a report from South Korea, Samsung will launch a cheaper 9W wireless charger this month that will cost just KRW 20,000 (€15). To put that into perspective its current entry-level P3100TBEGWW charging pad costs KRW 50,000 (€40).
This shows Samsung's intention to trickle down wireless charging from its more premium Galaxy S and Note lineups down to its
Galaxy A and Galaxy J series.
As of right now very few devices from Oppo, vivo, Huawei or Xiaomi offer wireless charging and none of those are midrangers.
