Xiaomi sold 6 million smartphones during Diwali, generates over $1B in revenue

Xiaomi sells a lot of stuff – both in terms of variety and numbers. The sales during the Diwali celebration saw the company claim the #1 spot in several categories, including smartphones.

It sold a total of 6 million smartphones on Amazon India and Flipkart. The Redmi 6A was the best-selling product across all categories and all Top 10 best-selling phones on Amazon were Xiaomis. The Redmi Note 5 Pro was the top smartphone on Flipkart.

Xiaomi’s holiday sales also included 2.1 million accessories from the Mi ecosystem (wearables, power banks, home security, air purifiers and so on). The company also moved 400,000 Mi TVs.

All told, it generated a revenue of over $1 billion between November 8 and 9.
