Huawei P30 Pro flexes Kirin 980 muscle on Geekbench

Huawei's upcoming P30 Pro flagship ran Geekbench today and revealed interesting bits about its internals in the process. The listing reveals that the phone with a model number VOG-L29 is powered by the 7nm Kirin 980 chipset paired to 8GB of RAM and that the software is based on Android 9 Pie.

The flagship score is nigh identical to the one posted by the Huawei Mate 20 Pro in our review, which is to say a bit behind the 7nm Apple A12 Bionic and the 8nm Samsung Exynos 9820, albeit still near the top of the chart.

Huawei will unveil the P30 Pro alongside the P30 (and possibly P30 Lite) on

The Huawei P30 Pro will have a triple camera with a 5x persicope zoom, as well as regular and ultra-wide angle modules. While the Huawei P30 will have either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage, the Pro will come with 8GB of RAM as standard and offer 128GB and 256GB.
