The Honor 20 Lite, a rumored upcoming smartphone from Huawei sub-brand Honor, has appeared online in some leaked renders. The images arrived via WinFuture.de (h/t GSMArena) yesterday, giving us a firm indication of what the handset may look like, as well as a look at its specs. And it's shaping up to be a lot like the Huawei P30 Lite.
The Honor 20 Lite is said to feature a 6.21-inch Full HD+ display (2340 x 1080 pixels) with waterdrop notch, Kirin 710 chipset, 4GB RAM of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The base P30 Lite model carries the same but for a 0.06-inch larger display.
The camera setup is said to be similar to the P30 Lite too, with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 24MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 32MP camera on the front — all of which can be found on the P30 Lite.
The Honor 20 Lite is speculated to arrive with a slightly larger battery than the P30 Lite, though — 3,400mAh rather than 3340mAh — but that's at the expense of connectivity: the P30 Lite has USB-C while the Honor 20 Lite is said to include only microUSB.
Finally, the Honor 20 Lite would house a rear fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone port, and come in the same (or similar) black and blue color options as the P30 Lite, at a price of around 280 euros.
We don't know if or when the Honor 20 Lite is set to arrive but, assuming the leak is accurate, it seems like a slightly odd release strategy for Huawei; it's going to be hard to tell where it ends and the Huawei P30 Lite begins. Thank goodness for the rear logos, eh?
