Oppo A9x leaks: dual camera upgraded to 48MP, similar to the Oppo F11

The Oppo A9 was announced last month, now an upgraded version has leaked – the Oppo A9x. The major change is a new main sensor for the dual camera on the back, but there are a couple of other additions.

The A9x will use a 48MP sensor and a bright f/1.7 aperture. That promises to be a tangible upgrade over the 16MP main camera on the vanilla A9. The 16MP selfie camera inside the screen notch will remain unchanged.

The 4,020mAh battery will stay at the same capacity, but it will gain support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging – 20W.

The last change is the addition of the Meteorite Black color. The second color option will be Ice Jade White, which is also available on the vanilla model.

And that’s it. The Oppo A9x keeps the 6.53” 1080p+ LCD (90.7% StB ratio) and MediaTek P70 chipset. This makes it essentially identical to the Oppo F11, though that one isn’t available in China.

The Oppo A9x with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage will cost CNY 2,000. The A9 is already available and sells for CNY 1,700 for the 6/128GB version.
