OxygenOS 9.5.8 rolls out to the OnePlus 7 Pro with May security patch, better touch sensitivity

OnePlus is rolling out software updates to its latest smartphones like crazy these days. Just yesterday it pushed out a new build for the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, and now it's time for the 4G version of that phone to get yet another update.

We're talking about OxygenOS 9.5.8 for the OnePlus 7 Pro, freshly baked and on its way to a unit near you. That said, this is a staged rollout as usual, so it will only reach a limited number of users today, with a broader OTA rollout planned in a few days, if no show-stopping bugs are found.

The new release brings with it the May 2019 security patches (someone should let OnePlus know that it's mid-June, perhaps), the famous unnamed "general bug fixes and improvements", but also better audio quality during phone calls, optimized touch sensitivity for the screen and better compatibility with third-party USB-C headphones. Finally, an issue which made the pop-up camera open for an incoming video call even if the screen is off or locked has been fixed.
