Redmi 7 Pro passes 3C certification in China

A new Xiaomi device was certified by China’s Compulsory Certification Agency (CCC) and it's shaping up to be the successor to last year’s Xiaomi Mi A2 lite (Redmi 6 Pro). It has the M1906F9SG model and will likely follow last year’s naming strategy appearing as the Redmi 7 Pro in China and India while international users will get it as the stock Android-running Mi A3 Lite.

Redmi 7 Pro certification

While the listing did not confirm much we did get confirmation that the phone will come with a 5V/2A 10W charger. Speculations point to a Snapdragon 710 or 712 SoC and triple camera setup with a 48MP main shooter.

The phone is also expected to come with a

3,300 mAh battery which would be a significant drop from the Redmi 6 Pro’s 4,000 mAh cell.

Last year’s device started at INR 10,999 ($158) for the entry-level 3/32GB model so we can expect a similar pricing this time around. Given the certification, we should be hearing more about the Redmi 7 Pro/ Mi A3 Lite in the coming weeks.
