Another week, another innovation for Oppo. The company that showcased an under-display front camera is now preparing a screen with 88-degree curved edges and no buttons on the side. It is called Waterfall Screen and is nearing the 100% screen-to-body ratio with ever so tiny bezels on the top and bottom.

Brian Shen, company VP, on his personal Weibo profile. Minutes later, various bloggers and media representatives also took it to the social media to introduce videos and gifs of their hands-on experience with the device.
The new screen is narrower than the panel on the Oppo Find X, but sadly, we don’t see the back of the device, therefore we don’t know if there are any buttons or this is just a dummy of a phone with a curved OLED slapped on top of it.
It appears to have some kind of Purple-Blue gradient paint job, so it might be an actual smartphone that Oppo is preparing to launch under the Find or the Reno brand.
Only time will tell what does the Guangdong company have in mind, but we expect nothing but pure innovation - after all Oppo already demoed some other breakthrough technologies like an under-display camera or an elevating mechanism for all the cameras with the Oppo Find X.
