Huawei introduced the nova 5 series in June with the nova 5i Pro joining them a month later. Now, a new smartphone was announced in China - Huawei nova 5z - which appears to be the mostly the nova 5i Pro with a new memory combination.

The nova 5z is powered by Kirin 810 chipset and is coupled with 6 GB RAM. Storage is either 64 GB or 128 GB, but only the first option is completely new for the smartphone. Everything else - from the screen to the battery and the cameras is unchanged.
The display is 6.26” LCD with punch hole for the 32MP front-facing shooter. The camera combo on the back is 48 MP + 8 MP wide-angle + 2 MP depth sensor + 2 MP macro, while the battery is 4,000 mAh with 20W charging.

Priced at CNY1,599 ($225/€200) or CNY1,799 ($255/€225) (depending on the storage), the Huawei nova 5z is already available at all major retailers in China. Colors are Black, Aurora, and Emerald Green, which isn’t much of a surprise.
Previous rumors suggested the nova 5i Pro will hit the global scene as Mate 30 Lite, but for now the nova 5i Pro and nova 5z remain China-only smartphones.
