LG Tone+ Free is the latest competitor in the wireless buds party

LG just announced the Tone+ Free wireless earbuds. They come with fast-charging, special tuning by Meridian Audio and the company promises music up to one hour with just five minutes of charging, or a total of six hours on full charge.

LG equipped the set with a microphone, which isn’t a surprise, but there is also a noise-cancellation mic, which should make phone calls a lot better - something fellow Korean giant Samsung is yet to deliver. The buds are IPX4 compliant, meaning they are waterproof for all your sports in the rain or in heavy-sweating moments.

The earbuds are coming in a circular charger box, and LG equipped them with touchpads on the

sides. You can use those for basic functions like answering calls and playing music, while a long press will activate Google Assistant (if you enabled it on your smartphone, of course).

LG Tone+ Free will launch in Black by October 28, while the White variant is scheduled for November. The price is KRW259,999, which is equal to $216 or €200. LG has already opened pre-orders and will hold them until October 14.

Son Dae-gi, head of LG Korea Marketing, said the product will be aimed at domestic consumers, but we hope to see the set outside South Korea as well.
