Samsung's 108MP plans revealed in camera app code

It's no secret that Samsung will likely use its 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX camera in its upcoming high-end smartphones but now we can confirm it as fact.

The code from One UI 2.0's camera app has revealed that Samsung's future phones will support 12,000px x 9,000px stills, which translates to 108,000,000 total pixels.

It's highly anticipated that Samsung will use its Quad Bayer 4-in-1 108MP sensor in its upcoming Galaxy S11 family. The sensor combines 4 pixels into 1 for a final 27MP result, but it could also produce 12MP stills. Rumor has it Samsung will use a second gen version of this 108MP sensor.

The code also revealed a 20:9 aspect mode, seemingly confirming another rumor - that Samsung's Galaxy S11 will have a taller 20:9 screen.
