The team behind the gaming brand nubia is already working hard on its new device, the CEO revealed on Weibo. He shared a screenshot, revealing the company will introduce a phone that will support 144Hz max refresh rate, as well as other options like 90 Hz and 120 Hz.
The executive also called the device “Red Magic 5G phone”, confirming it will have next-gen connectivity, something that isn’t really a surprise, given that all manufacturers are jumping on the hype train.

Earlier this month, Ni Fei, CEO of nubia, revealed the new flagship will have three cameras on the back and will be
powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset. Since we are talking about 5G, the SoC is going to be coupled with a Snapdragon X55 modem.
There is a possibility the next nubia Red Magic phone will also have a version with Qualcomm’s latest chipset but with a different modem in order to keep a lower price for markets that are not 5G-ready.
