It was yet another week where Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S20 lineup stood in the spotlight and this week the stories got a bit more interesting.
The biggest leak by far was of the prices of the Galaxy S20 phones. The Galaxy S20 will start at €900-1,000 (€100 less for a 4G model), the Galaxy S20+ will be €1050-1,100 and the Galaxy S20 Ultra will be €1,300-1,500.
We were also treated to the best-looking renders of all three devices this week - the Galaxy S20 will get a triple camera, while the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra will have quad setups.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra may not only be more expensive but also feel more solid thanks to a new stainless-steel frame. We just hope the 100X text next to the zoom camera on the Galaxy S20 Ultra's rear stays a render-exclusive and doesn't make its way to the final design.
Rounding off the Samsung-related stories of the week, we saw a promo poster for the Galaxy Z Flip (the Galaxy Fold successor of sorts) and heard that its camera will be a 12MP and not the new 108MP sensor that's expected to be a feature on the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The Galaxy Note10 Lite was launched in India this week. It will launch on February 3 at INR 39,000.
We saw the Huawei P40 Pro twice this week - once in a design-protecting case in the wild and another time thanks to a high-def render of the upcoming flagship in Mint. On the rear the main camera is expected to sport a 52MP 1/1.3” sensor and 16-in-1 Quad Quad Bayer filter. There’s also a 40MP cine camera (1/1.5” sensor), 8MP periscope module with 10x optical zoom and a 3D ToF sensor or a dedicated macro cam.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro popped up in live images, revealing a generic design and a non-generic 65W wired charger. It's expected that the Mi 10 will have the Mi Note 10's 108MP camera and a Snapdragon 865 among other specs.
Poco got back into the news reel this week. The Xiaomi underling brand is reportedly working on three phones for 2020 with the Poco F2 Lite and the Poco X2 being two among them.
Apple's affordable small phone once again made headlines. The iPhone 9 will reportedly have an A13 Bionic chip and be similar-looking to the iPhone 8, have either a 4.7-inch screen and a Touch ID home button or a 5.4-inch screen and rely on Face ID. Apple will start assembling the iPhone 9 in February and plans to bring it to the market in March.
Those were the biggest stories this week. See you next one!
The phone is inside a custom case meant to conceal its identity and tries especially hard to hide the camera.
They sure are quirky, but you can still appreciate the ultimate goal of curing smartphone addiction.

The upcoming OnePlus device will be able to switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz, but will there be other limitations?
It seems that the Poco F2 family will be based on the Redmi K30 phones, however, the photos show different hardware.
The Snapdragon 720G, Snapdragon 662 and Snapdragon 460 bring Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-frequency GPS.
