Google Pay is constantly expanding, the latest round focusing on the US, where it has now added another 78 banks and credit institutions to its support list, which is nearly 2,400 institutions long.
The move should help Google catch up with Apple Pay, which remains the most used mobile payment platform in the country, with an estimated 30.3m users.

Unlike other mobile payment systems, Google Pay also accepts tickets and loyalty cards, which gives it a slight edge over the likes of Apple Pay.
