The highlight of the past week was the announcement of the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. Both have 6.67-inch LCD screens and huge 5,020mAh batteries but they differ in camera hardware.
?The Redmi Note 9 Pro will go on sale on March 17 while the Pro Max will follow on March 25.
The other big story was the upcoming Google Pixel 4a's appearance in the wild as well as the leak of its pricing. Google's cheaper Pixel will have a punch hole camera on the front and a single rear camera. It will also retain the $399 starting price of the current Pixel 3a.
The Huawei P40 Pro was in the news as well. It will go live on March 26 alongside the P40, and will have a big camera hump on the back. Rumor has it it will have two new Sony-made sensors, like the main and ultrawide cameras, and two zoom cameras - a periscope and a 2x or 3x traditional zoom camera.
The Nubia Red Magic 5G was launched with a Snapdragon 865 and a 144Hz display. It has active air cooling and a 64MP main camera. It will go on sale in China on March 19 and later onto the global stage in April.
