Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold2 5G is now available for pre-order from Samsung’s official website for $2000. If buyers wish to buy the new foldable device from a carrier, Verizon and AT&T have both offered pre-order details for the Z Fold2 5G. To start, both carriers will begin pre-orders for the Z Fold2 starting Wednesday, September 2 and both will carry the same retail price of $2000.
Verizon will offer a few promotions to get folks to purchase through the carrier. Verizon users can expect to have a monthly phone payment of $83.33 per month for 24 months. Subscribers get up to $550 off the price of the Z Fold2 when they trade in an eligible smartphone and add a line on select Unlimited plans (if you only upgrade, that potential trade-in value goes down to $250). If you switch to Verizon, you’ll get a $150 Verizon gift card when purchasing the phone over a payment plan.
A 25% discount will be included with a pre-order to purchase any accessories for the Z Fold2 from Samsung, Gear 4, Zagg, and Top Kevlar. Verizon is going to offer both the Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black models, which will begin shipping on September 18. Verizon confirms that their variant will be compatible with both mmWave and midband 5G networks (launching later this year).
AT&T hasn’t revealed any promotions for the Z Fold2 yet, but we can expect the carrier’s monthly payments to be $66.67 per month over a period of 30 months.
As a reminder, Samsung also offers financing if you decide to pre-order on their website. They also offer financing with $41.66/month payments for 48 months. What the carriers don't offer is the ability to customize the color of the hinge.
