Right after its HarmonyOS 2.0 and EMUI 11 announcements, Huawei showed out its new smart accessories with the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro and FreeBuds Pro TWS earphones. The new watch comes in Classic and Sport trims while the FreeBuds Pro bring adjustable ANC with different listening profiles.
We also got international pricing for the Huawei Watch Fit and Huawei FreeLace Pro. The smartwatch costs €130, while the earphones will retail for €119.
Huawei Watch GT2 Pro
The Watch GT2 Pro is Huawei’s flagship smartwatch offering and features a premium blend of sapphire glass, titanium body and ceramic back. You get a round 1.39-inch OLED display with a 454 x 454-pixel resolution and two side buttons for controls. The watch also comes with built-in GPS, compass and music playback.
It’s powered by Huawei’s Kirin A1 chipset paired with 32MB RAM and 4GB onboard storage. It offers tracking for over 100 workout modes including distinct profiles for swimming, skiing and snowboarding as well as golf. Hikers will also enjoy the route back functionality which can trace your route’s starting point. There’s TruSeen 4.0+ heart rate tracking as well as sleep, stress and blood oxygen tracking.
Battery life is said to be 14 days of typical usage, 30 hours with GPS enabled and 24 hours of music playback. A quick 5-minute charge brings 10 hours of usage and most importantly it supports the Qi wireless standard so no proprietary charger here. The software side is covered by Huawei’s own LiteOS.
The Huawei Watch GT2 starts at €329 for the Sport variant and goes up to €349 for the Classic trim. Both will be available later this month.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro sit at the top of Huawei’s TWS earphone food chain. They offer ANC with dynamic profiles that adjust the level of noise cancellation depending on the environment.
The earphones are powered by 11nm drivers and come with a 3 microphone sensor setup including a bone sensor voice pick-up. There’s also a voice enhancement feature for audio calls. The FreeBuds Pro are controlled by squeezing either stem and gliding your finger around. Battery life with the charging case is rated at 30 hours without ANC on or 20 hours with it switched on
The Huawei FreeBuds Pro come in black, white, or silver colors and will retail for €199 when they go on sale in October.
