Top 10 trending phones of week 42

Apple had its biggest phone announcement ever this week and the iPhone 12 quartet quickly occupied the top of our trending chart.

Unsurprisingly, given that it made the top even before its official debut, the iPhone 12 Pro Max sits in first. The 12 mini slides in second with the middle children of 12 Pro and 12 following in that order.

That's hardly a surprising development seeing how the mini and Pro Max are unique propositions - one being by far the tiniest phone with flagship chipset and the other by being the most capable iPhone yet. But even the jack-of-all-trades position of the 12 Pro and 12 didn't prevent them from rounding up the top four, which bodes well for Apple's holiday season sales.

In fifth we have the other major debut of the week - OnePlus 8T, which just edges out the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro. It's actually really impressive that the Xiaomi phone only lost a single position seeing the onslaught of new announcements.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is seventh, followed by another Xiaomi phone - the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Last week's leader, the Galaxy F41 is now all the way down in ninth, as the upcoming Redmi K30S completes the top 10.

This leaves no room for the Google Pixel 5, the Samsung midrange pair of Galaxy M51 and Galaxy A51 as well as the Poco X3 NFC. The Redmi Note 9 is the final member of last week's top 10 to miss out this time.
