Xiaomi executives have been teasing the Redmi K30S, and now the phone is finally official. It comes with a 64 MP main camera, Snapdragon 865 chipset by Qualcomm, and up to 144 Hz refresh rate for the 6.67” screen; if all these specs look familiar, it is because you’re looking at a rebranded Mi 10T for markets where Redmi has strong brand recognition.
The main difference between the Redmi K30S and Mi 10T is the memory combinations - here, we have 8 GB RAM, coupled with either 128 GB or 256 GB storage. The phone lacks a memory card slot, so that’s all the internal memory available.
The front panel might be an LCD, pushing the fingerprint scanner to the side, but there are some intriguing specs - it has a tiny punch hole for the 20 MP selfie camera, a 20:9 tall ratio, and Full HD+ resolution. There is also Gorilla Glass 5 protection both on the front and the back.
Other specs include a triple 64 MP camera setup, accompanied by a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle cam and 5 MP macro shooter. It's also got a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. And there are all the connectivity options you might need - Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, 5G (both SA and NSA), and a USB-C port.
Redmi K30S in Black and Silver
The Xiaomi Redmi K30S, offered in Black or Silver, is priced at CNY2,599 ($390/€325) or CNY2,799 ($415/€350) - depending on the storage option. Reservations/pre-orders will open in four days, but the first flash sale is scheduled for November 11 - one of the biggest shopping holidays in China, known as Singles’ Day.
