Doogee introduced the S88 Pro back in June and the company is announcing a new variant that brings a couple of hardware updates. The S88 Plus brings more RAM and updated Samsung triple cameras. The S88 Plus is still powered by the Helio P70, still has 128GB of expandable storage, and still has the same huge 10,000 mAh battery. This phone is rated for 3-5 days of normal use.
The S88 Plus brings 8GB of RAM instead of the Pro’s 6, and the triple cameras now consist of a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and an 8MP depth camera. The front-facing camera is a Samsung S5K3P3SP06-FGZ9 16MP with f/2.0 aperture.
The S88 Plus has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display protected by Gorilla Glass. The phone itself is brick and sand resistant, drop proof, water resistant IP69 and IP69K, shock proof, and MIL-STD-810G compliant. The phone itself is quite a brick weighing in at 372g and 18.7mm thick.
It has “Iron Man” LEDs on the back which flashes for missed notifications. It also has two configurable keys on the side and runs near-stock Android 10 out of the box. The S88 Plus comes in the three colors: Fire Orange, Army Green, and Mineral Black.
For the first week of its release, the S88 Plus will run $199 on Aliexpress. After January 31, it will return to its regular price of $349.
