Last year we started adding 3D models to the Pictures pages of the most popular phones. The models allow you to view the phone from all angles and zoom in for a better look. But they didn’t offer any size reference.
They do now – there’s a button that will add a virtual credit card next to the phone to give you a size reference (note: the virtual credit card depends on the size of your screen). With this you can get a sense of how large the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 is once opened or how tiny the Apple iPhone 12 mini is. We even have the new Galaxy S21 family so you can get a feel of how big the Ultra is or if the vanilla is compact enough for you.
The Size Comparison button is just above the Full Screen button. Once you open that view, you can switch between looking at just the phone and the phone + credit card using the tabs at the top of the screen.

The third tab allows you to send feedback to Binkies 3D, the company that painstakingly recreates phones in 3D. You can also leave a comment below this post if you’re experiencing any issues.

From the model below you can see why the MagSafe wallet is the size that it is – any larger and it wouldn’t have fit on the smallest iPhone! It’s not just Apple either, soon we may have more mini flagships on the market (a new Sony Xperia Compact just leaked). And, of course, there will be no shortage of large phones, be they foldable, rollable or otherwise.
