Motorola “Nio” spotted in FCC and TUV certifications

The long-awaited Motorola XT2125-4 (code name Nio) rumored to launch with the Snapdragon 865 was spotted on both the FCC and TUV Rheinland certification databases. We can see the phone will come in 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth low energy. The TUV listing reveals a 5,000 mAh battery (model number LZ50) with 20W fast charging support.

According to previous rumors, the Moto “Nio” will pack a 6.7-inch display with FHD+ resolution and an unusual 105Hz refresh rate which is likely just a test version while the final unit will come with a more standard 90Hz. We’re also expecting a 64MP OmniVision main cam around the back alongside a 16MP ultrawide lens and 2MP depth sensor. The phone should come with Android 11 out the box.

Yesterday we saw a teaser for an upcoming Motorola Edge S which will be powered by an unnamed Snapdragon 800 series chipset. This could very well be the retail name of the Motorola “Nio” but there’s no official confirmation for now so we’ll just have to wait for more clues.
