The iPhone 12S is expected to have the same design as the current 12-series, except for being slightly thicker. LetsGoDigital and Concept Creator partnered up to create speculative 3D renders of what the iPhone 12S Pro will look like.
The design is not an exact replica of the current Pro as the notch is smaller. However, what you can’t see is even more important. For one, Apple is expected to include its first ever in-display fingerprint reader on the 2021 models.

Who will supply those sensors is an interesting question. Perhaps it’s Qualcomm, which already sells 5G modems to Apple. That would mean an ultrasonic FP reader. Going with another supplier makes an optical reader more likely. Either way, Face ID is here to stay for now as is the notch.
These renders for the iPhone 12S Pro show a “courageous” move from Apple – removing the wired port. Instead, charging can be done using the MagSafe system. The difference is already pretty slim with Lightning delivering 20W of power while the MagSafe does 15W (and a second-generation system may go higher).
Also, the with Wi-Fi 6E support, wireless data transfers will be faster than Lightning ever was (it’s limited to USB 2.0 speeds). Anyway, despite the slightly thicker chassis, the new phones are expected to have virtually identical battery capacities.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that the 12S Pro and 12S Pro Max will have an enhanced ultra wide-angle camera – with a bright f/1.8 lens and autofocus. This year the smaller Pro may also use sensor shift stabilization instead of the usual OIS system. Other than that, major camera upgrades are not expected anytime soon.

All of this is speculation based on rumors and analysts’ predictions. The new iPhones are expected in September - there should be no delays this year.
