Xiaomi is well-known for updating its devices for many a year, even its older, less expensive ones. Despite not seeding the latest Android version, Xiaomi devices often get most of the features that the next-generation MIUI brings. Now, the latest phones to receive Xiaomi's MIUI 12 are the Redmi 8, 8A and 7A.
The Redmi 8's MIUI 12 update has been delivered for the Global, EEA and Russian variants, while the 8A's update has been pushed to Chinese and EEA units. The firmwares are in their so-called Stable Beta stages except for the global Redmi 8, which is getting the final and stable software.
Meanwhile in India, the Redmi 7A gets some of that MIUI 12 love. Once again, we are talking about the Stable Beta version of the software, which is the final release before the final update and should be good for use as a daily driver.
