Realme is drumming up a lot of buzz for the February 24 launch of its Buds Air 2 TWS headset. They will be tuned by electronic DJs The Chainsmokers and promise the best in class active noise cancellation (ANC). Here’s an overview of the headset from the event page.
Realme Buds Air 2: 25 dB ANC and 88 ms low latency mode • 25 hour battery life and 10 mm drivers
The ANC is rated at 25 dB, compared to
These will have a gaming mode that promises to drop latency down to 88 ms. That is actually slightly better than the Pro model, which advertises 94 ms.
Battery life is also slightly better, the Realme Buds Air 2 should last 22.5 hours with ANC enabled (compared to 20 hours for the Pro). With cancellation disabled, you’re looking at around 25 hours of playback. A full charge will require 2 hours, but a quick 10 minute top up is good enough for 2 hours of play time.

The buds will have 10 mm drivers with diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating on the diaphragm. Compared to traditional diaphragms, Realme says that DLC improves frequency response for cleaner sound and deeper bass (and helps the headset last longer to boot).
The launch event is scheduled for Wednesday next week at 12:30 pm.
