Another week in the books, so let's recap it. Google topped the most popular stories chart with the announcement of the Pixel 5a 5G. It brings a slightly bigger screen, much bigger battery and IP67 resistance over the Pixel 4a 5G at a lower $449 price. The Pixel 5a 5G starts shipping on August 26.
The Galaxy A52s 5G was unveiled with a fast 6nm Snapdragon 778G, a 120Hz display, 4,500mAh battery, 64MP main camera with OIS and a starting price of £410. Shipments commence on September 3.
The Redmi 10 was made official with a 6.5-inch 90Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery, 50MP main camera and a starting price of just $180 for the 4/64GB model. A move up to the 4/128GB comes in at $200, while the 6/128GB is $220. The phone is already available.
The Asus ROG Phone 5s and 5s Pro have Snapdragon 888+ chipsets and a touch latency of just 24ms, which translates to a touch sampling rate of 360Hz.
Finally a word on the Galaxy S22 series, which are due in early 2022. According to popular tipster IceUniverse the Galaxy S22 will have a 6.06-inch LTPS FHD+ 120Hz display, while the S22+ will have a 6.55-inch LTPS FHD+ 120Hz one. The S22 Ultra will have a 6.81-inch LTPO QHD+ 120Hz display.
As for cameras the S22 and S22+ will have a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.55-inch sensor, 12MP ultrawide and 12MP 3x telephoto snappers. The S22 Ultra will have a 108MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, 12MP 3x tele and 12MP 10x zoom units. Batteries are as follows S22 - 3,800mAh; S22+ - 4,600mAh; S22 Ultra -5,000mAh.
