Another week down, so let's recap. The OnePlus 10 Pro' specs leaked, revealing a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz display, IP68, and a 5,000mAh battery. The cameras will be a 48MP main, 50MP ultrawide and an 8MP 3.3 zoom. The chipset will be the newly-renamed Snapdragon 8 gen1.
Oppo unveiled its Reno7 series in China. The Oppo Reno7 and Reno7 SE have 6.43" 90Hz displays, while the Pro stretches it to 6.55". The Pro uses a Dimensity 1200-Max chip, while the Reno7 uses a Snapdragon 778G, and the SE has a Dimensity 900. The first sales begin on December 3 at 10:00 for the Reno7 and Reno7 Pro and December 17 at 10:00 for the Reno7 SE.
The Google Pixel 6a surfaced in renders - it will arrive as a more compact 6.2-inch option in 2022. Luckily for fans of the regular 6 and 6 Pro, the 6a will use the same Tensor chip but will rely on the Pixel 5's 12MP main camera.
Qualcomm confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 name, while the chipset itself scored 1 million on AnTuTu.
A report from Korea suggested that Samsung has decided to not make a Galaxy Note phone in 2022, making the series a thing of the past. Samsung will instead focus its attention towards foldables, which makes sense seeing how they are increasingly more popular, while the Note sales were losing steam. And as we expect to see a Galaxy S22 Ultra with an embedded S Pen in 2022 it won't be too much of a loss.
Those are the key stories of the past week. See you next one!
Apple's devices are typically quite expensive, but buyers don't always embrace the company's attempts to make a cheaper product.
