Another week to recap, let's begin. Samsung reintroduced the Galaxy S20 FE in Korea as the Galaxy S20 FE 2022 - the same phone with a trimmed down retail package and lower price.
Samsung's flagship S series' popularity is decreasing. One report points to the Game Optimization Service as the culprit, saying it seriously tarnished the image of the S22 series. It seems some carriers, like Korean KT and LG Uplus, are upping the subsidies to make up for that, though.
The Galaxy M53 is official. It's a watered-down Galaxy A73 5G with the same 108MP camera but a Dimensity 900 chip, instead of the SD778G. It's still unclear how much it will cost though.
vivo's X80 Pro+ ran Geekbench, showing off its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It's expected that the X80 and X80 Pro will adopt Dimensity 9000 chips. AnTuTu's recent rankings show the Dimensity 9000 as a proper rival to the flagship Snapdragon.
OnePlus posted press renders of the upcoming Nord N20, revealing that the handset would feature SuperVOOC fast charging and a 60Hz AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint. Rumor has it the Nord N20 is coming to the US before the end of April.
That's it for the highlight stories of the week. Below is the full list of hot posts. Cheers!
Note that this is the 5G version with Snapdragon 865 and is available only on KT and LG Uplus in Korea for now.
Demand for the S22 in South Korea has reportedly decreased after the throttling scandal. Carriers are increasing subsidies to increase demand.
The performance charts are still dominated by Snapdragon chips. Interestingly, the value for money charts are as well.
And the 6.7" 120 Hz AMOLED display, though it loses some goodies like OIS and an in-display fingerprint reader.
The Galaxy S10 series moves into its final stage of support.
The X30 launched in China, the X9 in Malaysia, the Magic4 Lite is going to France. Also, the Honor Play 6T series will be unveiled tomorrow.
The 4G version of the Realme 9 has a better camera and build quality than the 5G model, arguably a better display too.
