Last week Nothing rolled out the stable update to Android 14 for its Phone (2), and this week the spotlight moves onto the Phone (1), the company's first ever smartphone, released last year.
There is now an open beta of Android 14 available for all Phone (1) owners who are adventurous enough to run beta software on their devices. As with the update for the Phone (2), the Phone (1)'s is also labeled Nothing OS 2.5. As that name implies, this is the most significant update since the launch of Nothing OS 2.0, which came out alongside the Phone (2) earlier this year.

There are plenty of new features packed inside: a redesigned customization page for both lock screen and home screen, the ability to transform your background photo into a dynamic wallpaper, new solid color wallpapers, a new monochrome color
There are also stability improvements for the camera, as well as "enhanced overall system stability for a more reliable and smooth experience", the company boasts.
If you're interested, go to the Source linked below and follow the steps to getting onto this open beta. You need to download an APK and then go to Settings > System > Update to Beta version. All of the details are at the Source below.
Don't forget that this is a beta, and as such, things may go wrong. It's best to backup all your data before you hop onto the beta train, just to be on the safe side.
