Honor announced its partnership with Porsche Design last month and today we see the first product to come out of it. The special Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design is a sportier take on the feather-light high-end foldable.
The Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design shares the hardware of the Magic V2 but it only comes in the top trim with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The exterior is vastly different, though. The Porsche Design V2 comes in the iconic Porsche Agate Grey and the body incorporates Porsche's signature "Flyline" - the way the company cars' roofline is sloping downward to the rear.
Flyline is all about being aggressive - the Magic V2 RSR's rear design looks like it's going places at high speed even while the phone is sitting still.

The camera island has titanium alloy lettering (just like the regular phone's) and Honor says the phone has a 'Sports car fiberglass body' - we're just as puzzled by that description as you are.
The Honor Magic V2 RSR weighs just 234g thanks to a magnesium alloy frame and a titanium alloy hinge mechanism - but those are the same as on the regular V2.
The Honor Magic V2 RSR is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and deatures two screens - a 6.43-inch 1080p 120Hz LTPO OLED cover display and a 7.92-inch 2156x2344px 120Hz LTPO OLED inner display. The 5,000mAh battery supports 66W wired charging.
There's a triple camera system with a 50MP f/1.9 main camera, a 20MP f/2.4 2.5x zoom camera, and a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide shooter with autofocus. There's also a 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera on the cover screen.
The Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design will go on sale in China on January 12. It will cost CNY 15,999 (€2,050/$2,250/£1,770/INR 190,000), which is not too bad, considering you are getting 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
