Samsung Galaxy S24 family to come with more touch responsive displays

A week before the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are set to become official at Samsung's next Unpacked event in San Jose, California, more details are pouring in. The latest rumor is about a small but possibly quite impactful thing, namely the screen touch responsiveness.

According to prolific leakster Ice Universe, all three devices' screens will get a 10% improvement in touch response speed. This should translate into smoother and faster touch response, which is the time it takes the device to react to your touch.

10% isn't a lot, but it's obviously more than nothing, and One UI can still use some improvement in overall perceived smoothness of operation. This has the potential to aid with that, so it definitely sounds interesting. Call us cautiously optimistic, and reasonably excited.

This improvement could also make using the S Pen stylus a better experience on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. We've also heard in the past that the S24 family will have the brightest Super AMOLED screens to date, with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits.

For comparison, the peak brightness of the Galaxy S23 series is 1,750 nits, and even those are 100% perfectly legible even when the sun directly hits them. Thus, the wow factor (when used in very bright, very sunny conditions) will be upped this year.
